ibeo.Reference is a combination of Ibeo’s LIDAR sensor technology and the corresponding evaluation software system. The algorithms of the ibeo Evaluation Suite generate reference scenarios to create a benchmark for the evaluation of ADAS and HAD applications.

Users can automatically download and post-process their physical test drives to identify all static and dynamic objects in relation to their Ergo vehicle.

By linking in with the CAN bus system, all triggers that were generated by the onboard software can be reviewed in order to determine the true rate of detection, and to demonstrate the effectiveness of the ADAS system under test.

Furthermore, they serve as basis for the development of new applications.
Use-cases for the ibeo.Reference system are:

Linking the Real world directly into Virtual testing
The IBEO reference system also allows users to automatically transfer a section of their physical test drive directly into the Prescan software to further analyse or understand any scenarios that may be the cause of a false trigger or missed opportunity to detect a possible threat to the vehicle form other road users.

IBEO has developed the worldwide first 4D solid state LiDAR sensor for automotive series use. By avoiding moving parts and using special measurement technology in the ibeoNEXT sensor, Ibeo is breaking new ground in the area of autonomous driving.
